Seneca Serves Presents Relay for Life

Seneca High School’s Student Council is proud to announce that it will be sponsoring its third Relay For Life on June 5th, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Golden Eagle Stadium. This event is for Seneca Students and Staff only.  We have set a goal to raise $50,000.  We are almost halfway there!  Relay For Life is an American Cancer Society event that:

  • Celebrates those who have survived cancer
  • Remembers those we have lost
  • Fights back against a disease that touches too many lives

Our Relay season began with a “Kick-Off” Assembly in February. Since then, students and staff have been getting ready for our event. We currently have 296 students and staff signed up to fundraise and walk. We are asking for your support.  Here are several ways you can support the Seneca Relay for Life:

  1. Encourage your student(s) to create a team or sign up as an individual.  They will need to create an account, download the fundraising app on their phones, and then start fundraising.
  2. Sponsor the Event.  We are seeking donations.  Every little bit helps!
  3. Purchase a Luminaria Bag.   Luminaria bags will light the participants’ way during the night of Relay.  They are strong symbols of remembrance and survivorship.  They can be purchased in memory or in honor of those who have fought the battle against cancer.  Luminaria are sold for $5 each.  Each student who pays the registration fee will get ONE luminaria bag and will have the opportunity to purchase more.  These bags will be decorated by you or your student and will be displayed during the event.  Thank you in advance for your support of this meaningful event.

As a reminder, the event is open to students and staff ONLY.
